Bieber wins 4 AMAs, including artist of year!

Usher was in tears after losing two awards at the American Music Awards to Justin Bieber, including favorite entertainer of the year, the top AMA honor.

But Usher wasn’t upset about his loss—far from it. Instead, he was welling with pride over the success of his young protege, Justin Bieber, who was the night’s biggest winner with four awards and the youngest performer ever to capture the entertainer award.

"To see Justin take the award—having received that award before—it was like an out of body experience, you understand?" Usher said backstage. "It was emotional. I don’t cry that often, but I did. Hopefully it gives an indication of how hard we worked to build a career that hopefully will flourish and blossom over the years."

Bieber, who is signed to Usher’s label, had a perfect debut at the American Music Awards, winning all four awards he was nominated for: entertainer of the year, breakthrough artist of the year, favorite pop/rock male and favorite pop/rock album for "My World 2.0."

Bieber’s debut album is one of the year’s top-sellers, with almost two million sold, and he’s got a new CD, "My Worlds Acoustic," out this week at Walmart. His ascension marks a phenomenal rise since first garnering attention via homemade videos on YouTube about three years ago.

"This means the world to me," said Bieber after winning breakthrough artist. "I come from the smallest town in the world, of like 30,000 people; I never thought this was possible."

few days late but better than never. I'm not quite sure why but my dad said i needed to post the fact that i had my 22nd birthday on Wednesday (8/18). so here we go. happy birthday to me!..... jeeze wasn't i in middle school yesterday?

This is pretty lame - I'm sitting in a lawn chair in the sun behind a neighbor's house at the lake to borrow a little of their wireless. It's pretty quiet out here. The only person I've come in contact with was our long lost friend Justin. Yes, he's home from the service again. He was overseas for a year and is home for good now (again). And yes, he was discharged on medical leave and is currently looking for a job. He needs to find a job as the food stamps ended last week - he knows this because he keeps looking at his iPhone and reading something, probably an update of credits from the food stamp people. He's staying at mom's, but that's temporary. Dad is considering catching the house on fire for the insurance money, and mom is considering leaving dad and relying on Justin for funds.....

There's good news, though - the baby they were expecting this past spring did not pan out. Seems after extensive DNA tests (are their non-extensive DNA tests??? Maybe Horatio of CSI knows. Merry, ask him if you run in to him in Fla.) the baby was not his at all.....BUT the baby due this September IS his and that is a definite without any DNA testing taking place. I didn't ask for details...... David, here's the GOOD NEWS......he's looking to buy the house across the street and next to Butch. He's noticed the for sale sign for some time now and he thinks he can make it happen. Shall we throw a housewarming party? We could let it double as a baby shower if they have closing at the same time as the baby gets here.

I keep hearing banjos in the distance and I'm quite sure I saw Burt Reynolds and Ned Beatty drive by a bit ago........

sign in to gmail and then at the top right corner you'll see the google menu bar click "My Account" then click "Blogger"... that should take you to the Odowd blog! THEN click "New Post" should be a blue button.

I finally did it....

with the help of NASA, the CIA, and Edith, I was finally able to log on to the blog and post. Now, I have nothing to say.

Had a nice, relaxing weekend, and we are looking forward to the 4th of July weekend at the lake.

The Past Weekend

Saturday - Nick and I did a mock jury which was super entertaining. I'm not allowed to disclose what the case is about but I'll recap in a nut-shell -- a stripper hit someone with her car while intoxicated and the man died so the strip club is getting sued. THAT'S AMERICA FOR YOU! No worries the stripper is out of jail and back at work where she has recently gotten in another DWI accident - AWESOME! 

Saturday evening we had the folks over for dinner - fish tacos! yummm! VERY fun evening! I'm sure we have some pics we can share.

O, Sunday - I worked! yippie!

There's flies in my house and Ava won't stop barking!

Creating a blog

1.) first click on the top right corner "Sign in"

2.) sign in - I think you have to use the email address to which i sent an email to asking you to be an author.

3.) then you'll see a "dashboard" where you can click "New Post" or on the main page at the top right corner you'll see a "New Post" button.

Once you have accepted to be an author from an email I sent you. You can view the page and at the top right you should be able to click "New Post". Ok, now i want to hear from everybody!

I love having one more thing to keep me from working! Hoping it makes the days go by faster and of course to stay in touch with everyone.

Just finished the weekend at L'Auberge du Lac Hotel and Casino were I lost more money than won which I solely blame on Nick becuase he does not have the luck of the Irish! :) But we had a blast and would go back in a heart beat.

The weekend before that, Memorial Day Weekend, we spent at Lake Whitney riding the boat, getting some sun, and drinking near the fire! What a blast!
